How long does one salt capsule last?

One cartridge lasts for a 15 to 20 minute session, depending on the fan setting, High or Low. No measuring needed: insert the capsule, switch on, done.

Which pack suits me, 30 or 120 capsules?

The 30-pack is roughly 30 sessions, the 120-pack roughly 120. Used daily, the 120-pack lasts around four months. A HALO ONE® purchase already includes 30 capsules, 2 of them cleaning capsules.

Can other salt be used, or can I make my own saline solution? Why not?

No. Third-party salt or mixing your own saline solution can introduce impurities and be harmful to your body if you inhale contaminated salt, and it can damage the device's membranes. The HALOONE™ salt capsules use only the safest medical-grade saline solutions, the kind used in hospitals and in halotherapy research.

Reusable jars with, say, 300 ml of saline are unfortunately not suitable either, because the solution is contaminated after just 24 to 36 hours. We have discussed this with several laboratories and, under current hygiene standards, no other option is workable.

Why does HALOONE™ use salt in liquid form?

Unlike most other salt inhalation devices, the HALOONE™ works with a saline solution rather than dry salt. The humidity helps the salt particles stay in the air longer, so you inhale more salt. This process also helps distribute the salt more evenly around the room.

Many other manufacturers use dry salt that is ground in a mechanical process. Grinding is loud and not ideal for use in a sauna or infrared cabin. Their warranty terms often state that salt inhalation only works when humidity is below 40%, because otherwise the salt clumps and falls to the floor under gravity. The product then effectively stops working. That was the starting point for developing the HALOONE™, since there are hardly any salt inhalation devices on the market that work well.

Do I have to use the whole salt capsule at once, or can I switch off halfway and continue later with the same capsule?

When you press the power button, the device switches on and starts dispersing the salt into the air. You can end the salt inhalation session by pressing the power button again to deactivate the HALOONE™ device. In that case you can reuse the same capsule at your next session, but it should be used up within the next 1 to 2 days to maintain hygiene standards. Bear in mind that a salt capsule lasts 15 to 20 minutes in total.

I already live by the sea, do I still need HALOONE™ salt inhalation?

HALOONE™ is more effective in terms of therapeutic benefit, because its different membranes produce a wide range of particle sizes. The HALOONE™ salt capsules are also more concentrated than the dose you get from living by the sea or ocean.
