Placement and installation

For the placement of the sauna, it is advisable to observe the following recommended clearances. We recommend these as they simplify installation, care, and maintenance.

• Min.5 cm clearance on the sides and at the back of your sauna.

• Min.30 cm clearance between the sauna and the room ceiling.

• Ensure you have access to the power outlet (please check your sauna specifications for the required amperage).

NOTE: Indoor models are designed exclusively for indoor use. Outdoor installation will void the warranty.

What heater technology is used in the Clearlight Sanctuary infrared saunas?

All Clearlight Sanctuary full spectrum infrared saunas are fitted with our unique True Wave II carbon and ceramic heating technology. These are low-EMF heaters that produce most of their infrared output around 9.4 microns, the ideal wavelength in the far infrared spectrum. In addition to these heaters, the Sanctuary models have two 500 W full spectrum infrared heaters, one on each side of the door. The Sanctuary models therefore combine all three types of infrared (near, mid and far), which makes them genuinely superior to other products on the market.

Do I have infrared heaters all around me in my Clearlight® Sanctuary infrared sauna?

Absolutely. Your Clearlight Sanctuary full spectrum infrared sauna is fitted all round with our True Wave II infrared heaters. You have heating elements in the back wall, the side walls, the leg area and the floor. On top of that you have two powerful full spectrum infrared heaters that reach right into your core. You are quite literally surrounded by infrared heat, making this your own wellness oasis at home.

What type of wood is used for my Clearlight® Sanctuary infrared sauna?

The Clearlight® Sanctuary full spectrum infrared saunas are made from eco-certified (FSC-certified) Canadian cedar. We use the highest-grade timber (grade A) and match the colour of the wood before manufacturing. This ensures the best quality and an outstanding finish for every Sanctuary full spectrum infrared sauna.

How big should my infrared sauna be?

The size of your infrared sauna is entirely up to you and comes down to a combination of factors such as cost, space constraints and intended use. How high are the EMF levels in this Clearlight® infrared sauna?

Electromagnetic radiation and electric fields matter enormously, and not only in infrared saunas! Ten years ago we started producing heaters with the lowest possible EMF levels. Over time we have pioneered this field and can proudly say that our EMF (and ELF) levels are probably the lowest on the market. Measuring directly on the infrared heaters, the highest EMF reading we could find was 1.5 mG, far below the WHO limit of 3 mG. Move just a few centimetres away and the reading drops, quite literally, to 0.

Besides inventing our True Wave II infrared heaters, we also use shielded cables, run several grounding wires and designed the cabin so that exposure to EMF and ELF is as low as possible. Measured on the two powerful full spectrum heaters at the front (Sanctuary and Outdoor cabins only), the maximum reading is 7 to 8 mG. At a distance of just 10 cm the values drop to 0. Since EMF decreases with distance, no EMF is measurable where you sit.

How long does it take to install my Clearlight® infrared sauna? Can I do it myself?

For the 1-person infrared sauna you need 1 to 2 people and it takes at most 2 to 3 hours. The larger cabins can also be assembled by 2 people, but some parts are heavier because of their size and weight, so an extra pair of hands to help with the lifting is useful. The installation itself is not difficult.

You only need a simple screwdriver for the door handle. All other parts connect to each other and do not need to be screwed. Important: please check that the floor is level before you start. It is essential that the floor is level; if it is not, you will need to correct it.

How long is the warranty on my Clearlight Sanctuary infrared sauna?

It is a lifetime warranty. We cover the cost of replacement parts and shipping for the entire lifetime; labour costs are not included in the lifetime warranty. We do, however, supply the parts and pay for shipping, and we give you instructions on how to fix any issue with your infrared sauna. We have your back!

What are the shipping and return terms for my infrared sauna?

Our aim at Clearlight® is to make buying an infrared sauna simple, efficient and easy. Our promise is your complete satisfaction. Transport damage is rare, but it happens. In the event of transport damage we will replace or repair the damage promptly and to your satisfaction. Our full shipping and return terms are on our Deliveries and Returns page.
